Welcome to the 2019 Summer Sizzler Registration page sponsored by the Down East Alers Homebrew Club. We look forward to another amazing competition, with your support we plan to have another raffle with over $5000 worth of items. Good luck to all entrants and welcome to all judges and stewards! The SUMMER SIZZLER will be held on Saturday, June 8 at the American Legion Post 39 at 403 St. Andrews Drive in Greenville, NC. The Summer Sizzler is an AHA registered and sanctioned competition and is part of the Southeastern Homebrewers Association competition circuit. As a small club, we need judges and stewards to help us provide quality judging and feedback, so please register. We will make every effort to house out of town judges. Registration for judges & stewards is open immediately. Registration for entries opens on April 24 and closes on May 22. All entries must be arrive at our cellarmaster by May 24 or hand-carried to drop-off locations by May 22 for pickup. The 2019 Summer Sizzlers is beer only...no meads or ciders. The Summer Sizzler cap is 200 entries. The max # entries per person is 12. Judges & Stewards should be at the comp site at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8.

Rules For This Competition

Entries can be hand carried and dropped off at shipping location(s) specified below
No entries accepted on day of competition
Competition will be judged according to the 2008 BJCP guidelines
2 - 12oz bottles for each entry
Bottles should be free from identifying marks such as raised lettering on the bottle
Bottle caps must be free of writing or label. If cap has writing or label, it should be blacked out by a black marker prior to entry
Judges and Stewards will earn BJCP experience points.
Bottle labels should be securely affixed with a rubber band.
Entries can be hand carried and dropped off at one of the drop off location(s) specified below
