Welcome to the 2018 Port City Plunder Homebrew Competition! We're back and thirsty for more! After an amazing showing last year, we can't wait to see what's been brewing since. Our competition is AHA/BJCP Registered and is a participant in the Southeastern Homebrewers Association's Brewer/Club of the Year circuit.

We have a new date and location for this year. The main judging and awards ceremony will be held on March 31st (last Saturday in March) at Waterline Brewing Company in downtown Wilmington, NC. It's also the last day of the Cape Fear Craft Beer Week, so there is plenty of good beer vibes in the air.

Registration will open on Wednesday, January 31st and will remain open until Monday, March 19th. All entries MUST BE RECEIVED by Wednesday, March 21st. The entry fee is $7 per entry w/ 2 12 oz. bottles per. Entries are capped at 250 and 8 entries per participant. In addition to the listed shipping address, properly paid and labeled entries may be dropped off at the event location (Waterline Brewing) or at Wilmington Homebrew Supply (824 S. Kerr Ave.)

Rules For This Competition

Entries must be shipped to shipping location(s) specified below
No entries accepted on day of competition
2 - 12oz bottles for each entry
Bottles should be free from identifying marks such as raised lettering on the bottle
Bottle caps must be free of writing or label. If cap has writing or label, it should be blacked out by a black marker prior to entry
Judges and Stewards will earn BJCP experience points.
Bottle labels should be securely affixed with a rubber band.
Entries can be hand carried and dropped off at one of the drop off location(s) specified below
